Not sure if your tag will work at the next toll? Send us your vehicle number and we'll tell you exactly where it stands — and fix it if something's wrong.
A FASTag can stop working for several reasons that aren't obvious until you're stuck at a toll plaza paying double. A status check tells you, in one go, whether your tag is healthy and what needs fixing.
Everything is fine — the tag reads at the plaza and has enough balance. Keep a small buffer so a big toll doesn't push you negative mid-trip.
The tag still works but is close to empty. Many issuers hotlist a tag once it drops below the minimum, so top it up before a long drive.
The tag is temporarily blocked and won't pay tolls — you'll be charged cash (often double) at the plaza. The usual causes are low balance, pending KYC, or vehicle details that don't match the tag.
The tag has been shut down by the issuer or by a previous owner. In this case a fresh tag has to be issued rather than revived.

Plain-English summary of what's wrong.
Recharge, KYC or replacement as needed.
A status check is only useful if the fix follows. If the tag is low we recharge it, if KYC is pending we complete it, and if the tag is damaged or permanently blocked we replace it — usually the same day.
Tell us what you need and we'll get back within working hours — usually much sooner.
Send your vehicle number on WhatsApp and we check the tag's balance and status with the issuer, including whether it is active, hotlisted or blacklisted and why. You do not need to know which bank issued it.
Almost always KYC or a hotlist rather than money. Issuers hotlist tags for incomplete or expired KYC, and a hotlisted tag is declined at the plaza regardless of balance. A status check tells you which of the two it is in under a minute.
You can check whether a tag is active against that registration, which is worth doing - an old tag left on a vehicle you buy can cause problems later. We will tell you what shows against the number; we will not hand over the previous owner's personal details.
That the issuer has stopped the tag from transacting. The three usual causes are low balance, incomplete or expired KYC, and an issuer hotlist for a specific reason. The fix is different in each case, which is why checking first saves money.
Our charges are set out on the charges page and we tell you the cost before we do anything. A status check is the cheapest step in the whole process and it stops people paying for a replacement they did not need.
